MY
Biography
Adam Emil is an American singer/songwriter of Soulful R&B/Pop. He cites Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, and Quincy Jones as some of his musical influences. Awarded the title of Apollo Legend and winner of B.E.T.’s “YA HEARD” new artist competition, Adam’s songs have played on radio stations throughout the country, and his music video for “One and Only” premiered on Vh1 Soul. He and his band have even opened up for such top acts like Common, Jeremih, Miki Howard, Ginuwine, Fat Joe and more to name a few. They have also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, along with numerous other television, radio, and web interviews and performances.
Chicago’s very own Adam Emil, made his debut performance at Allstate Arena on October 14th, in the nationwide I LOVE THE 90’s tour alongside his bandmates Bryan Abrams and Mark Calderon of COLOR ME BADD. Looking up into the bright lights of the concert stage and feeling the buzz of the audience around him, Adam Emil knew one day he would be taking the stage in front of the crowd at Allstate Arena; that day is here. Performing at the venue in Rosemont is both a career milestone and a blessing for Adam, he says, “If you put your mind to something and do the hard work you can make your dreams come true!”
Through his persistence, this talented rising star caught the attention of Color Me Badd in December of 2014. Since then, he has been touring internationally, meeting both fans, industry legends and gurus and his passion for music continues to thrive to this present day. Adam’s tenacity will not allow him to pass up the opportunity to learn or develop his craft in some way. Just recently he found himself backstage with Stevie Wonder, his biggest musical influence, and seized the opportunity by asking advice on songwriting, transforming a brief meeting into an in-depth conversation.
When he’s not performing on stage you can find him working on new music in the studio, collaborating with other music clients worldwide, involved in volunteer work within the community, or spending time with the people he loves the most. Chicago, IL USA has always been home for Adam Emil and he is thrilled to see his fans supporting his hometown return.
To his fans on twitter, he recently posted, “Don’t waste another minute not following your heart and your dreams!” With every action, he is steadily making his dreams a reality, and it is an inspiring journey to watch! His songs are available via iTunes and look for a new album set to be released before the end of 2021.
The I love the 90’s tour has been traveling nationwide with scheduled performances by Salt N Pepa, Vanilla Ice, All-4-One, Adam Emil, Coolio, Tone Loc, Rob Base, and Young MC.
